About This Game

Super Mario Bros. Wonder – The next evolution of 2D side-scrolling Super Mario Bros. games is coming to Nintendo Switch. Touch a Wonder Flower, and the world’s wonders unfold – pipes spring to life, swarms of foes may swarm, and characters might even change appearances, altering gameplay unpredictably.

Each level promises excitement and unique surprises. Super Mario Bros. Wonder offers Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, and Yoshi as playable characters, alongside beloved figures like Mario, Luigi, and Toad. Furthermore, meet Mario’s new power-up in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, transforming him into Elephant Mario. What other marvels does this game hold? More details will follow, so stay tuned!

When I was eight years old, someone at school told me that if you sat on a colorful platform in a level of Super Mario Bros. 3, you couldn’t do it. In that level, Mario could fall to the ground, and you could run through the back loop of the entire level and eventually come out through a secret passage. I thought they were lying. Back in the early 90s, before YouTube Gaming could reveal all the game’s secrets with a simple search, video game information was pretty reliable.

But when I got home, I tried the platform method, and it worked. Mario went through the end of the level and came out of the secret room, where he heard a scream that transported him to another world. I was amazed. It felt like I had just discovered Atlantis, tasked with an incredible secret and with the sacred mission of uncovering it. It’s hard to recapture the feeling of wonder that video games evoke in our childhood, the feeling we had when we first encountered them. But Nintendo always tries. In the case of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the emotional appeal stems from the game’s name.
