About This Game
The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection NSP ROM for Nintendo Switch is a fighting game. It’s hard to believe that the Street Fighter series relied on moves like the Hadokening, the Dragon Punch, and the Tatsumaki Senpukyakuing (a near-perfect copy of the latter) for thirty years. Last year, the Nintendo Switch was the only console to host Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, considered by some to be the definitive version of this legendary fighting game.
Now, to celebrate the 30th anniversary, this fantastic collection of twelve essential classic games is available on all major platforms in a single edition. While this is the most literal interpretation of what the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection offers, it may, at first glance, seem like a simple re-release of four classic games.
The Games Offer a Competitive Features
This collection includes the entire main series, with the original Street Fighter, five Street Fighter II titles, three Street Fighter Alpha titles, and three Street Fighter III titles. By playing each version, you’ll discover its unique features. The changes to player stats, balance, and speed make it feel like a completely different game. The newer versions are generally better, unless you’re a veteran of the golden age of arcade games.
All twelve games offer a competitive mode, and four of the online games (SFII: Hyper Fighting, SFII Turbo, Alpha 3, and SFIII: 3rd Strike) include an advanced training mode absent from the online versions. Since online play is ideal for honing your skills, it makes sense that these games help you reach your full potential.
Gameplay Mode
Each game runs incredibly smoothly, whether you’re playing on a TV or a handheld console. You can enable “TV” and “Atari” filters, as well as character and graphics boxes for each game. When you select a game, you can adjust the speed of Street Fighter II Turbo Edition and Street Fighter Alpha in the selection menu. The smoothness of the gameplay is truly impressive. Choosing a game is very similar to selecting a level in other fighting games, and selecting “None” on the replay page will take you back to the game selection page.
This makes it easy for you and your friends to switch games. Arcade Mode also has its own section. If you skipped the introductory pages for each game, they will appear when you select Arcade Mode and your desired game. Each mode offers different difficulty levels and allows you to use save points to progress through fights and reach final bosses.
